Comparison with Burns' Heritage

It is hard to imagine that any of the places associated with the life and work of Robert Burns would be ignored in his native Scotland. It is strange and sad then that a hotel associated with one of England's most famous authors, J.R.R. Tolkien, is no longer open to the public.

There are a number of websites describing Burns' trails and specific places of interest: Burns National Heritage Park, Souter Johnnie's Cottage, rabbie-burns.com/places_to_visit and so on.

It would be good if a link to a Tolkien Heritage Trail could suggest a stay at theThree Cups Hotel where Tolkien wrote some of his greatest work.
