Consultation on what?
There have been various items in the local papers about consultation on the future of The Three Cups Hotel. Click through for links to the articles on line.

In the View From Lyme Regis of 30th January, there is a report on page 5, headlined "Three Cups plans should be ready by 2014". On page 12 of the same edition, there is a leading article entitled "The Cups was never a class hotel".
There is a letter on page 20 of the View From of 6th February, under the heading "How many more years?"
If you feel strongly that there are no plans under consideration to re-open The Three Cups as a HOTEL, then please write to one or both of the newspapers above. I have sent letters and will publish links if they are published or my text if not. I'll not repeat everything I have written here but would add that I think elected councillors should be listening to the voice of the people as expressed on 24th April 2009 when a public meeting voted almost unanimously in favour of compulsory purchase by WDDC so that they could sell the building on immediately at a profit to be a hotel again.
As for The Cups never being a class hotel, it depends what you mean by "class". It was attractive enough for J.R.R. Tolkien to bring his family after his own happy childhood holidays there. Tennyson and Chesterton were attracted. And the makers of the film, The French Lieutenant's Woman, were keen enough to use The Cups as a location. To me that gives The Cups the potential to be a prime tourist attraction and a viable hotel.
