Campaigning for preservation of the hotel where J.R.R. Tolkien stayed and gained inspiration for his mythology. Jane Austen, G.K. Chesterton, Tennyson and H.W. Longfellow were also guests. Can Dorset beat Yorkshire?

I've just been reading about a blue plaque to commemorate where Tolkien stayed in Leeds. If people in Yorkshire can find the money, surely Dorset can match their efforts and arrange a plaque for Tolkien on The Three Cups Hotel. Oh and better order one for Chesterton ... and Tennyson ... and Jane Austen ... Longfellow ... Belloc. Need I go on?
