Campaigning for preservation of the hotel where J.R.R. Tolkien stayed and gained inspiration for his mythology. Jane Austen, G.K. Chesterton, Tennyson and H.W. Longfellow were also guests. There's none so deaf ...

... as those who don't want to hear. And according to the video of WDDC The Opera, it seems, that could include some local government officials in the South West of England who may or may not have inspired characters in a recent performance at The Electric Palace in Bridport.

Just in case they have not got the message from my previous posts on this blog, can I just say again that EVERYONE IN WEST DORSET WOULD BENEFIT IN SOME WAY IF THE THREE CUPS WERE OPEN AS A HOTEL. While it is closed, the area is losing business. If the council is serving the people of the area, it should not be difficult to decide where their duty lies.

Omnibus - The National Trust Option

Last week we visited Hardwick Hall which is owned by the National Trust and was reminded of the importance of making the cultural heritage of The Three Cups available for all AS A HOTEL.
