Campaigning for preservation of the hotel where J.R.R. Tolkien stayed and gained inspiration for his mythology. Jane Austen, G.K. Chesterton, Tennyson and H.W. Longfellow were also guests. Putting It Plainly

Click this link to see a story from the Birmingham Mail about moves by the City Museum Service to "cash in" on the forthcoming film of Tolkien's Hobbit story. I'm sorry to mention filthy lucre in connection with the cultural heritage of Lyme Regis but, in these difficult economic times, should not the local authorities in West Dorset be considering the opportunity cost of not exploiting the commercial potential of The Three Cups re-opened AS A HOTEL?
